blooming photogs

When we were getting ready to move a dear friend gave us a very generous going away gift of an ipad. How awesome, right? We are so thankful and it was the perfect gift for our family-on-the-move. I love that there is an app for just about everything. I love that we can watch PBS shows so very far from home. لعب البوكر I love that when we go to the big city and have to do a big shop there is something that keeps little girls occupied while I sort through 500 types of plain yogurt.  However, my favorite feature of the ipad is the camera. I love seeing the random things that Kead and Sayla think the take pictures of!

Tonight I plugged in the ipad (after several months of just syncing and updating apps through that cloud-thingy) and it started downloading all the pictures from the last several months. I was giggling SO much looking at the world through their eyes. مواقع لربح المال Here are some of my faves:

The girls have obviously figured out the “special effects” buttons:

And here is a sequence where Sayla caught Keadryn red-handed trying to pick up Evie (Which Evie hates and I tell the girls not to do at least 5 times an hour all.day.long) :

Seriously there were at least a hundred self portraits of this little ham:

I am not exageraing when I say I have no clue how they even made these. My favorite has to be the “Doc Hudson/Sayla Tummy! لعبه bingo ” or maybe it is the “Minnie/Crying Evie”

So- if you want to be seriously amused, give your child your device for a day or two and see what kind of goodness they come up with!

a short list

1. Keadryn and Sayla started Ms. Brittany’s ballet class. They have been looking forward to it for a year and it did not disappoint. They LOVE it and I think they are the cutest ballerinas I have ever seen. Can’t wait for the recital!

2. Keadryn and Sayla also started going to a local preschool. The goal of them attending is to start hearing Arabic and learning to communicate. It’s not going great. The TV is on the whole time they are there (with English programming) and Keadryn hates it. She cries the whole time, which is totally not her regular personality, and says she can’t make friends until she learns some Arabic. I try to explain she won’t know Arabic until she makes friends, but that doesn’t seem to translate into 4 year old. We are optimistic that she will get settled soon. Just be praying that she can make at least one friend. Sayla is liking it and doesn’t seem to notice that no one speaks English. (Also,  I love this picture of them on their first day- mainly because several locals have mentioned to me how I need to dress them in warmer clothes for the “cold winter”. It was 85 degrees on this day, but I didn’t want their teachers to think I’m a horrible mom. haha)

3. Speaking of life here, we all LOVE the food. Eating out here is amazingly inexpensive (much cheaper than cooking) and so we have got to try several restraunts. Kead’s fav is the hummus and Sayla loves the chicken. Anyone have amazing eggplant recipes I need to try? They are in such abundance and I love the way they taste- but don’t know how to cook them!

4. We are feeling more settled in everyday. I promise there will be a “house tour” soon. As soon as Drew hangs up all the frames, decor, etc. Walls here are concrete so hanging a picture becomes a much bigger task than tapping in a couple nails. For now, here is a picture of our living room with our humble Christmas tree.

5. There’s more, but I’ve been working on this post for a week so I am going to post it before I am adding Keadryn’s Sweet Sixteen party to the end. Merry week-of-Christmas everyone! I hope that you are enjoying family, and cooler weather and all things winter in our stead!

a trip to the date farm

Last weekend we had a lovely outing with some friends. kasyno online płatność blik We were in search of a wadi. Whats a wadi, you say? Well, really, its just Arabic for valley, but ’round these parts it generally means a valley with water. SO, we drove out of town, then down a dirt road, then when the road ended we started to walk through a date farm, which was fabulously green…and then the path got a bit narrow… and there was a 6 story drop…and we had five kids 4 and under…and I imagined a certain three year old, who trips standing still, plummeting to her death…So, we opted for a nice lunch in the date farm. ewinner zakłady sportowe

washington d.c.

We had such a fun time going into DC with one of my favorite.people.ever. Paula lived in the Middle East with us last time we lived there but she (and her family) have since moved to the D. لعبة روليت مباشر C. area. I was so ecstatic when we found out we were going to see her, mostly because I love her. enzo casino . .but also because she is a photography nerd too and was super excited to walk around with us and show us the sites.

By the way- have I mentioned that our girls are amazing? They are. We have this three kid stroller and all three girls did a great job just cruising around D.C. looking like a circus. Even when it started pouring (I mean really pouring) rain the girls just lifted their heads to the sky to catch raindrops on their tongues. I just love them.

Both girls said “the train” was their favorite part of the day.

Here are a few more of the sites. الربح من برنامج like Yes, it was my first time to DC and I loved it!

some favorites, from my favorite season

I am so grateful to have gotten to spend a few short days in the glorious autumn. It did my heart so good. One day I will live somewhere with a glorious fall season, but for now I will enjoy the moments, the beautiful drives, and the pictures. Here are some of my favorites from fall from Cincinnati to Pittsburg and on to Washington DC.

“Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns.”
George Eliot

“Every leaf speaks bliss to me, fluttering from the autumn tree.”
Emily Bronte

“Autumn, the year’s last, loveliest smile.”
William Cullen Bryant

“Autumn is the eternal corrective. It is ripeness and color and a time of maturity; but it is also breadth, and depth, and distance. What man can stand with autumn on a hilltop and fail to see the span of his world and the meaning of the rolling hills that reach to the far horizon?”
Hal Borland

a whole lotta summer

You know what’s hard? Living out of a suitcase with three small children and trying to update a blog. You know what else is hard? Trying to sift through all the pictures from the summer and get the caught up on a blog. I have had several people mention that we have not been in Idaho for more than a month. I know. It has been one crazy summer and all of a sudden I looked up and fall is here. We have been touring Texas (Dallas, Austin, Houston, College Station, Lubbock) and got a short and quick trip in to Cincinnati, Pittsburg and DC. We have hugged and cried and said goodbye more times this summer than I ever remember doing. We have laughed a lot with dear friends. We have enjoyed getting to watch our girls adapt and become the best little travel buddies. And a lot of other life has happened too; like Kead’s first trip to the ER, Sayla’s 3rd birthday, Evie becoming mobile. تحميل لعبة طاولة مصرية 31 Our time in the USA is coming to a close and I can say- Man, We are ready to unpack our suitcases… only 10 more days until we get on our plane!

Here is what we have been up to:

Hanging out with the fam in Denver

a family reunion with *almost* all the ludwig family (yes, that is my 4 year old on a four wheeler being driven by a 6 year old #momoftheyear)

at my aunt and uncles beautiful house in northwest colorado

The older girls got to spend some time in Dallas with Granny, Pops, Dave, Kate and Addie while Drew and I took Evie to Austin and Houston (with quick stops in Shiner and College Station)

celebrating at Drew’s cousin’s wedding in Cincinnati.

Hopefully more catch up posts tomorrow! طريقة لعب القمار Stay tuned. :)

I-da-ho?

Ok, maybe you haven’t seen this shirt, but my sister (being the classy gal that she is) owns it and I can’t type the word Idaho without thinking of it. Now you can think of it too. You’re welcome.

Our trip to Idaho was sweet. I love getting to spend time with my siblings in their homes. And I love Easton so, so much. I didn’t take very many pictures, but it was a wonderful time to just relax with people (and dogs, of course) that we love. ملاعب كاس العالم 2023
